On agriculture and climate change

How can you help fight climate change? Here's an easy way in which you can act...

1. Pressure your MP to pass Bill C 311

Bill C 311, the Climate Change Accountability Act, requires the Canadian government to set regulations to bring emissions 25 per cent below 1990 levels by 2020, and 80 per cent below 1990 levels by 2050. Passage of the bill stalled after the House Standing Committee on the Environment and Sustainable Development requested more time to consider it, a request granted thanks to support from Conservative and Liberal MPs in an October 21st Commons vote.

You can pressure your MP, particularly Liberals, with letters and phone calls to return Bill C 311.

You can obtain your MP’s name and contact information by entering your postal code here.
